Baselworld 2011: Seiko's Heritage Honoring our Past Building our Future

The story of SEIKO began in 1881, when a 22 year old entrepreneur, Kintaro Hattori, opened a shop selling and preparing watches and clocks in central Tokyo. Just eleven years later, 1n 1892, he established the 'Seikosha' factory and built its first clock, and in 1895, its first pocket watch.
